Guest Jon Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Can any one help. Have an old coin 1696 looks a bit like a william ||| crown but am unsure. On one side it has REX 16 96 MAG BR FRA ET HIB On the other side it has GVLIELMVS 111DEI GRA. If it is a William 111 Crown very approx does it have a value. Quote
Chris Perkins Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 Jon,How big is it in terms of mm? It probably will have a value, anything from £25 upwards if it's a Crown. You can email me a picture if you have one: cp@predecimal.com.Thanks, Quote
Sylvester Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 Until we know the diameter i'm more than likely thinking it's an half crown. Quote
Chris Perkins Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 Yeah, more common, but I did get a William III Crown from someone the other day. Quote
