Aethelred Posted June 1, 2004 Author Posted June 1, 2004 I wonder how much I should off the chap for it? The coin has nice contrast between the fields and devices, but does have some hairlines. I suspect it will grade no higher than MS-61 by US standards. Any advice will be most helpful. Quote
Master Jmd Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 In Spink it is "extremely rare", if you do purchase it then you will be a very lucky numismatist indeed, I expect not many collectors have one. Is it abt.FDC-FDC or "PR60-70" Ext. rare means nothing too much HPJ, i bought an EF 1953 ext. rare 2+A farthing from colin cooke for £8.50 a few weeks (maybe a month) ago, and he already lists another one at the same price! Half Penny Jon Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 It is very difficult to give a value because there isn't a value in Spink. I would pay at least £500 up to about £2000 for it. I guess he will ask for about £1000. Quote

Half Penny Jon Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Do you have any half pennies between 1900 and 1936 in BU condition? Quote
Aethelred Posted June 1, 2004 Author Posted June 1, 2004 Do you have any half pennies between 1900 and 1936 in BU condition? I deal in US coins and I am the buyer at the shop. I do sell some British coins on eBay and my website, but I would not really feel right about trying to sell stuff in Chris' space. Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 I can see what you mean, this is Chris' domain! Quote
GDJMSP Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 Did you ever persuade the guy at Coinpeople that their Transylvanian Ducat would be more loved in your collection? Not yet But I do have some stuff he wants Quote
