Well since this is a British oriented Forum it might be out of line to start of posting pics of non-British coinage. So I'll start with this one ;)

I know Sylvester doesn't care for it - but perhaps a few of the other members might.

Is that a proof, toned from being in it's case of issue? I had one like that.

Yes it is a Proof from an original set. The entire set is well and evenly matched in color and condition. Of course if toned examples are not your cup of tea - well then that's why they make chocolate and vanilla B)

I think it's nice, I don't see a problem with toning if it's ended up that way because they didn't know the packaging would do that in 1911. It's original, it's part of the coin.

And you're not using my bandwidth, oh thankyou so much!

That's right down my street. I once had the pleasure of owning an UNC 1860 half penny with lustre, it is a really nice coin. Where did you get the photo from? Is the coin for sale?

I took the photo with an Olympus D-560 Zoom camera. At this time, the coin is part of my collection.

A lot of copper fans huh ? Well we'll give them copper then. Not many copper coins really appeal to me - but when they look like this

Suits me - I'm a died in the wool silver fan. I dread to think how much I spend on half crowns :D

GDJMSP tortured me with those images over at CU and now here!

Those are lovely proofs.

Wait till GD digs out the gold proof 1911 stuff, now that was more up my street than the toned silver! I like gold, i like gold alot!

Probably not, unless Colins listing says it is.

I see, well if he isn't sure on the matter, there's no way I give a useful opinion on photo alone.
