1874 Sparenza Medallion Help as to value/identity?

Hi here's another one bought in a lot of mixed UK coinage

I think this is some kind of religious medallion. The name of the maker is Sparenza and there is something on the net about him but I cannot find this one.

I cannot read Latin?? but maybe someone can help the date is 1874 I am posting pics along three posts.

What do I have here? I guess as it was in a mixed lot and not perfect condition it's not worth much but Sparenza seems to be a maker of fine medals

Name was Speranza not Sparenza. I do seem a bit dyslexic from time to time!
