Hi

I have found a 'good' 1935 farthing wrapped in an old newspaper article saying it was worth £4.00 when no longer legal tender..please could some one tell me if this is correct?

I also have a 1943 farthing good condition

regards SCH

1935 Farthings are a bit scarcer than the others, but in average circulated conditions the values are just a few pence. A coin 'as new' with some or all of it's mint lustre would be more interesting.

1943 is low value unless like new, ideally with full mint lustre.

having looked at the 1935 again..it is clear but I am not con buff enough to say like new ...coin wrapped in newsprint for over 40 years

Post a picture if you can, but the chances are it was well used until 1960 when the farthing was demonetised.
