Royal Mint Coin Collection

Hello everybody. Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post.

I had a quick look around the forum today and thought I'd join.

I inherited some coins after my father died in January. He had a stack of uncirculated coins that are still in there packets. They haven't seen light of day since the 1970's. They are from the Royal Mint. I'm still hunting around to see if there are more to the collection. They are proof coins inside sealed plstic cases inside card envelopes from thirteen countries

They're quite interesting to look at but they don't eally interest me and I don't know the first thing about coins, so maybe you could take a look and maybe somebody could point me in the right direction where to sell them or maybe they're not worth the bother in which case they can go in my loft for another 40 years.

I've taken a few quick pictures to give you an idea of what's there. If anybody's interested, please let me know and maybe I can take some more pictures for you. I'm in Lincolnshire if anybody wants to see them first hand.

The thirteen set are.....

Proof coinage of Bahrain

Coinage of the Kingdom of Morocco

Proof coinage of Sri Lanka 1978

Proof coinage of Zambia 1978

Coinage for the Central Bank of Yemen 1974

The first decimal coinage of The Gambia 1971

Coinage of The Falkland Islands 1974

Proof coinage of Mauritius 1978

The first coinage of The Republic of Botswana 1976

Proof coinage of Guernsey 1979

Coinage of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 1978

The first coinage of Tuvalu 1976

Central Bank of Ceylon - Ceylon coinage 1971

To be honest there isn't usually much of a demand for 70s coin sets, especially from foreigns lands that aren't widely collected.

If they were mine I'd put them on ebay. Some will probably be worth £5 or less, others may have more interest. That Sri Lanka one looks great, if that's your cup of tea.
