Guest cricketer Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I have just found a silver coin dated 1951. It is in a red box marked festival of Britain. I think it is a sovergein or a crown. could anybody shed any light to its value??? Quote
Guest Panterex Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Can you post a picture of it? Value depends on quality of the coin...for example, same coin in UNC grade costs about £ 10 Quote
Chris Perkins Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I sell them for about £12 in the boxes and can buy them all day long on ebay for £5-£7.It's a crown by the way (as the paper certificate should state). It contains no actual silver. Quote
