Hi -

Hopefully someone can direct me here, I have a quantity of George II & III coins many of which I am familiar with.

The one I'm not sure about has a reverse the wording BARRONS 40 WATERWORKS ST HULL around the edge and in the centreFOR WATCH AND CLOCK REPAIRS over a crowned coat of arms.

The coin is copper around the size of a 2p and in comparison to the others far newer looking.

Would be extremely grateful for any informed knowledge - have been unsuccessful locating anything on th net.

And it has George III on it?

Is there a date? If between 1791 and 1798 or 1810 to 1815 then it's probably a Provincial (merchant) token, and probably for halfpence going by the size.

Cheers Chris,

What threw me was the abscence of a date, but I have astarting point now - much appreciated.
