Henry VIII Goat and three others

Hi all,

This looks like the forum I need for some info on four of many coins that I have from sorting my fathers effects.

The first I believe is a Henry VIII groat, but not in the best of condition.

Not sure on the second and third coin, but I think the fourth is a Roman of some description.

Any help to the history of the coins and type, especially the year of the Henry would be fascinating, and of course are any of them worth anything in their condition, and where would I sell them and the others I have?

There are a couple of halfpennies there (George II and George III). The Roman coins, from the bust style and remains of writing would appear to be one from Emperor conSTANS with a quite typical 2-soldier reverse type.

Many thanks for the info. Its a great start. Has anyone any info on the Henry VIII as to the year ans if any value as well as the other coins.

The Henry VIII is in quite poor condition, even for the poorly struck issues, so I'd hazard a guess of no more than about £12-£15.

The halfpennies, let's say about £3 for the lot?

As for the Roman, I won't be of much assistance.

Let me know if you want to sell the Henry VIII, I'm always on the look out for new additions to my cabinet.

That 1750 halfpenny is better than £3. I think I could sell that for £10 and therefore I'd offer £6. The 1799 coin is yukky though and has really no value. The Roman coin is worth less than £5.
