Chris Perkins Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Those are Chinese. They looked like that up until about the begininning half of the last century. The writing will tell a Chinese reader the province name and the ruler. Most are very common and have very little value. Quote

I would have to see an image of the obverse with the emperor's name, but these are most likely from the reign of Chien Lung(1736-1795), they are valued at about 15p each. They were made in the billions, and I personally have many many dozens of them with the rest of my voluminous Chinese collection. Quote
