I really cant remember when I found this, not ever found out about and its been left forever...... re discovered in a box of other interesting items still awaiting my attention.

so...any ideas,  I think its copper, Chinese cash coin and thats about all I can say about.... 

anyone know any more about these?

its no good I spent hours.....Really Hours looking.......and found this......

 

A Huò Quán (貨泉) coin issued by Wáng Mǎng (王莽), these coins were introduced alongside a chaotic system of round coins, cowrie shells,  turtle shells, knife money , and spade money. As the people preferred this coin it would be continued to be made even after the fall of the Xin Dynasty with a mould from the year 50 (fifty) being found. 
Tang Dynasty  (Tang Empire, was an imperial dynasty of China that ruled from 618 to 907)

Apparently...... another thing thats ironic is China is a large area of fakes....not just coins !?!?!?!?
