Guest declan o hare Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Hello i have acpuple of 2 pound coins,and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if they are worth anything,the first one has a dove on the reverse of itand says peace good will 1995 around the edge,the second one says 1689/1989 tercentenary of the bill of rights,and the third one says 1945-1995 nations for peace.if anyone could help i would be greatful,cheers......declan Quote
Geoff T Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 In uncirculated condition these go for around £3-£4, a little more if they're proofs from sets. They're all £2 coins issued principally as commemoratives prior to the introduction of the circulating £2 in 1998, but they are all legal tender at face value of £2. There are two 1989 coins: one celebrating the tercentenary of the Bill or Rights in England, the other, less common one, the Claim of Rights in Scotland.Geoff Quote
