Can any one help me please? I want to know if this is a mint error or not ? if not any ideas how this happened? Cant upload pics , i can email them if some one gives me theirs .

Agreed. It looks as though it's been in some machinery, or maybe crushed in something akin to a vice.

Ok thanks , the lines go both ways and overlap in some places. thank you for replies so fast 

 

I also dound a £2 coin with half the  beading missing around the queens head ( writing is right way ) is that of any interest ?

The beading is very random, with probably less than a third of all coins being complete - you would be less likely to get a complete beaded ring, but given the numbers minted "less common" would be a more appropriate description than the popular "Rare".

The edge writing can be either way up, there is not a "wrong way up" error.
