craigy Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 with all the commemorative coins etc was nice to see the humble round pound throw up an oddity https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2016-Definitive-Shield-of-Royal-Arms-One-Pound-1-Unreleased-Bunc-Coin-UK-GB/263369643807?hash=item3d520dd71f:g:Q-8AAOSwTm9aJ99v was only available in the year sets Quote
Unwilling Numismatist Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 So many year sets are being bought up and split, selling the odd coin for hugely inflated prices - I'm not even sure a market exists yet, but that doesn't seem to be stopping it. But why? it's cheaper to buy a year set. I think I need to approach scholls and re-introduce "common sense". Quote

Unwilling Numismatist Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 It's so random, you just don't know what oddity will be the next "kew" these days. Which publication or newsfeed aren't we reading to get a heads-up on it? Quote
