hi all i need help i hav an victorian coin dated 1837 its silver wat is strange is dat on 1 side of the coin is her as a younge head an on the other is her with old head,,why is this? please help many thanks

I think I basically understood what you were writing, despite the fact that it was composed liek a text message!

It's a Diamond Jubilee medal, not really a coin. It shows the Queen as she was when she became Queen, and the Queen as she looked in 1897. If it's pretty average it'll just be worth a pounf or two.

I think we've talked about these before in the forum, as they are a popular query.

If it's the really big one (larger than a crown) it's worth about £85 in top grade. The small one (bit larger than an old florin) is worth about £30. Someone just asked me about these, so I had to look them up. I got the big one at an auction last year. It's a handsome coin, and the toning (acquired? contemporary? anyone know?) is superb.
