Guest Peter Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Finding this site has triggered an interest in coin collecting (thanks guys) that has been dormant for about 20 years. Somewhere I have my old collection & I have been thinking about selling them. They are really not worth much 'cos it is only a miscellaneous box full of things that I collected as a teenager, things like Victorian crowns, double florins, George V halfcrowns and florins, a cartwheel penny etc all in only fine condition ( some even cleaned!!!) for the most part.My question is: What would be the best way to dispose of this?I have not seen it for a long time 'cos it is stored in a basement somewhere but I could dig it out and make a list if you think that it is worthwhile me doing so.I hope one day to collect high quality stuff (William III, maybe !) so what I have is redundant.Selling what I have may even enable me to make a start and buy my first decent coin! Please advise.
