So are these notes worth much to anyone? Would it be worth getting a collector to look at them in person?

Hello I'm new here. I've just started a hunt for a 1983 new peace 2 pence coin and my mum had three pound notes that shes had since she was 18, she was given them and told they weren't cut properly and there serial numbers are very close. I was wondering if they were worth anything or have any significance?
