The last mark was the sceptre (Feb 1647-1649) although only one such coin was represented (in Pot C). The hoard consisted of three separate pots and the last coins in the other pots (A & B) had the sun mark (Nov 1645-Feb 1647) suggesting the last was buried subsequently. [ what was the latest mintmark in the hoard?

any rarer than pre war coins Parliement must have cranked them out by bushelfulls to pay for the war,one would think so is there any premium for being from a more interesting period of history

I live in the US ive been trolling Ebay for a while ive bought a few low grade charles 1st coins which due to a limited budget most could be dicribled a Battered rather than hammered i have noticed what looks like a fairly large number of coins which look like they were just minted also theres seems to the tons of commomwealth half groats in a assortment of conditions a know ebays known as a home for fakes but are the fresh looking pieces fakes are from hoards or what Thanks Michael hicks
