Hello Terror! It looks like 2 very worn Victorian silver coins (diameter will tell which denomination but probably sixpences) that will have been machined flat on the reverse (tails side) and joined together. If you check the rim you should see the join. There is no chance of it being a mint error as these 2 obverses are 1887 at the latest for the first and 1893 at the earliest for the second. The 2 portraits did appear together on an official 1897 diamond jubilee medal in silver, but this is clearly not one of those. John. Thanks John, I did a quick measurement, and it appears to be 25mm diameter by 1mm thick, and I cant see any join !!!

Hi folks, Greetings from Bonnie Dundee I have spent a week reading the forums since I registered, and have been really impressed with the knowledge the members have shown on here .. Alas ! I am NOT a coin collector, and I have a wee query to ask the experts on here ... My Father in Law had a Tin full, of a mixture of coins, and 1 coin had me puzzled, It appears to be double headed, but very worn... I wondered if anyone could shed some light on it ? I scanned the coin but not sure if it is clear enough ...
