Rev. horse r., uncertain motif and three rings above, ring in front and below. Weight: 4.55 g. Chichester, West Sussex. Found by Mr Karl L while digging in the back garden of his house. This bronze core (there are a few flecks of gold intact on the reverse) has defied all attempts at identification. The presence of a horse on both sides is unusual, particularly on a stater. Its origins are perhaps more likely to lie in Belgica than in southern Britain. P. de J."
