The real value is in the meaning of the gift, it was not until my father passed away that I realized the true value of the odds and ends from my child hood, I had no idea he had been keeping such things as my stamp collection and coins, plus numerous other items and now I am getting on in the years I can understand why he did this and now have long forgotten memories a history of my childhood. So in your gran giving you this coin gives it a value that cannot be bought.
  2. 1/4d -1860. 1/2-1861. 1d-1861. silver coins. 3d-1859. 4d-1854. 6d-1857.1s-1858.gothic florin?. 2/6-1845.5s1845.10s-1860 gold. guine-1859.gold thats all the dates on this set but i have several others mixed dates.
  3. Hi I have a Victorian florin but it has no date but I do know it is gothic and pre 1861 can any one explain why it has no date or is the date hidden in the Latin. I also have the full set of coins from the farthing up to the guinea all in mint condition and wonder what the value would be.
