Well that's good to know. what exactly do you look for in a fake £1? Heard so many different things to look out for. I heard the finer detail on the queens crown in the fake one is shoddy also the dots around the side on a fake one they run into each other and with the real one the queens crown is of greater detail and the dots are all singular around the rim would i be correct in going off that in pinpointing a real one from a fake? Or do other people do it different? I'd love to know.

Being doing some research on the collection of coins i have I have two £1 coins from the year 1998-1999 I was reading these two coins only came out in sets from the Royal Mint. So looking through my collection i have both, probably bought of Ebay from years past. Now I'm generally thinking both will be fakes but not that i know for certain. How do you spot a fake £1? I will add Pics of both coins tell me your thoughts real or fake? I won't be parting with any either way just would like to know if any eager eyed coin buffs can help me out. Pic One. Pic Two. Having found this site the other day I'm curious in what you think of the value of my Royal Mint Collectors Albums. I have 4 of these Coin Albums which are all completed (with circulated coins) along with the 4 unopened completer medals as you see in the pictures. Not that i want to sell or move on I'm just curious. I also have 2009 12 Coin UK Royal Mint Proof Set Uncirculated heard this was getting popular with the Kew Gardens 50p hearing these are going for £100+ Royal Mint Collectors Albums Royal Mint Collectors Album Pic 2 2009 Royal Mint Proof Set I have all different kinds of stuff bundled away from single coin to sets upto the £5 coin From 1p to £2 I have coins from every year Me and my dad started collecting them for a hobby to occupy his mind when he got diagnosed with Cancer. Sadly he died but i have continued the collection. Just thought i'd share a little of my collection and hopefully some feedback thanks.

Well with having a Ukrainian Girlfriend this falls right into my lap. I don't have loads which all are circulated but but she always gets told to empty her purse when she has a visit back. I think a new collection will be on the Agenda Heres a few of them Few of my Coins.

Hi Newbie here but been looking for a site like this. My question is I'm finding it hard to identify the difference between one of my commonwealth £2 Coins. Was wondering if this is a England coin or a Northern Ireland coin. I have another exactly the same can anyone throw in their pennies worth please.
