  2. Cracked it. The coin is grubby - what's the best thing to clean it with? The front and back are offset - if you hold it with the King's head vertical, and then flip the coin through 180 deg, the 1804 is shifted about 5 degrees anti-clockwise. thanks for any thoughts

  4. Hello, looking for a bit of guidance, knowing nothing about coins Clearing out an old desk, found what seems to be a George III 1804 dollar. It looks like all the examples googled, is a bit worn, but, unlike all the photos I've seen, it has "M C" stamped on the side with king's head. M one side of the head, C the other. The letters are ridged in the same way as the band that says "five shillings" is on the other side. Might it be real? thanks for any thoughts
