    5p piece from 2008.

I now have 2 of these 2008 error 5p,having acquired one in my change from a drinks machine at work yesterday. They do exist, but are extremely rare.To my knowledge, there are on 8 known so far.

    5p piece from 2008.

i have one of these error 5p from 2008 with the 180 degree rotated reverse.Being a bus driver,i check all my change (and banknotes) for error, or anything unusual. As far as I am aware, there are only 7 of these error 5p that have been found.http://imageshack.us/a/img195/3289/error5p001.jpg"]My link
  3. I have one of these upside down reverse error 5p coins from 2008 that I enquired about some time back.Apparently, there have only been 7 found so far, and I have 1 of them.My link

    VIKING COIN?

I have a coin which I can locate in Spinks 2010 Coins of England catologue, number 1016.However, although the obverse on mine is the same as number 1016, the reverse on mine is not the same as number 1016, but is the same as number 1006.Any help in identifying this coin would be greatly appreciated. My linkMy link

    5p piece from 2008.

Like you said, the picture looks legit.People would be so easily mis led with these scammers. And because you enlarged the picture, you found the coin to be a normal 5p.Many thanks for your input.Saves me looking through my 5p pieces every time a passenger hands them to me on my bus.
  8. What do you mean by a dot to dot 10p? I'm a bus driver and get to handle over a grand of change a week.I have ahd and sold 11 undated 20p.I also have 8 of the Welsh leek £1 coin with the apostrophe missing from I'm( I have a letter from Joseph Payne at the Royal Mint confirming the error).I also have 6 of the 2005 "Pemember Pemember £2 coins. And I have 3 Welsh lion £1 coins with the wrong edge inscription, "Decus et tutanem".i have around 40 error coins dating from the early 1880's to the present.I'll definately be looking out for the upside down reverse 5p from 2008.
  9. I have just noticed 3 x 5p 's from 2008 on ebay all said to be error coins due to the fact that the reverse is 180 degrees turned round to the head, if that makes sense.Basically, the head and tail should both be the same way up but these 3 are not.the tail design is apparently upside down, or is it the ehad that is upside down?.Any thoughts or explanations?
  10. i have just acquired this 1964 penny, but as can clearly be seen, the date reads 964.I contacted "Rotographic" via email and submitted an image to them for any info. They replied offering to buy the coin for £20.00.needless to say, i refused their offer to sell.Has anyone got any like this or seen any like this?.I have looked in the 3 coin books I have and it is not listed in any of them. How rare could this be?
  11. Wow! And I thought mine was good.Do you have an album of your coins that I can view on line??
  12. I have this 1822 farthing in E/F.It has a prominent error but is not unrecorded in any of the 3 coin books I have.In the Spinks 2010 it gives a value of £55.00 However, as this is an error coin and they usually command a higher value, especially if they're scarce, I don't know what value to put on this coin.Any help would be appreciated. As can be seen from the photo, the error is that the I of "FID" is reading as a "T".
