1951 Boxed Crown

These beautiful large coins were issued in 1951 to commemorate the festival of Britain held that year. The Reverse features the classic St George and the Dragon image which first appeared on coins during the reign of George III (1760-1820) and it looks particularly good on such a large coin.

The coins are boxed as new, and although the coin is as struck showing minor contact marks it is being offered in the 'Specials' area because the box is a bit tatty. Coin comes with the original Royal mint certificate.
