Considering the old way of putting coins on the eyes of the dead, I wonder how many "rare" coins are currently in graveyards waiting to be dug up. Anyone got a spade ?.

As the usual coin was a penny, so cartwheel pennies (or possibly twopences) or later, not much chance of a rarity methinks.

Err, yes.

I think old Gollum should maybe take a trip down to the Styx instead and ask the ferryman if he could have some of his swaps.......

Imaging two cartwheel twopences on the eyes, you would look like an owl!!

Personally, I plan on having a 1933 penny on one eye, and an Unc 1869 penny on the other...

Now, where's that lottery ticket got to?!

Reminds me of a Woody Allen quote- "I'm not afraid of dying, I'd just rather not be there when it happens" :D

Putting your feet up is the easy bit.Every one can do it. :) It is what you do between birth and death that matters.Buy your expensive coin....fish the Tay (I have)..go on and try it on with the wifes sister...My whole aim in life is to eat and drink the best. When my time comes I will go up in a massive puff of B)

And there's me thinking that life was something you went through will you wait for something better to happen.

And on a completely different note, I've just had this lovely letter today from Works and Pension telling me I've got to work another nine month before I can get me pension. f~@#ers

You don't need to tell me Peter. I've had 2 major car wrecks that should have done for me plus countless other close shaves. I don't fear it at all, it's getting too old to be able to do the things in your post that I fear (apart from the wifes sister cos she doesn't do it for me) :D;):D
