On the sherberts

Worth more like $82 while its had little wear the coin appears badly struck and would be difficult to sell in this condition - is this one of the better grading houses in the us or are they "Cowboys"?

It's one of the two main graders in the states. I've seen MS65 graded farthings before, bit this is nowhere near the condition of those. Continuity isn't a strong point.

With this one I think NGC could have been a bit more generous.

Graded MS65.....I think the grader had one too many sherberts at lunchtime before his afternoon shift...

TBH, I think many of the issues with this coin are in the planchet and are pre-strike, and surfaces such as the fields are quite nice actually. Not here to defend the price and also that they frequently seem a bit more than simply "subjective" in their grading.
