Many thanks, that would be brilliant…very forward thinking of you to save the images 🙂

The coin is an 1899 Sixpence.

    Excellent, thank you 🙏

I'm away for a week but poke me about this next weekend. I had a quick look before I left but couldn't see that UIN. I will check properly on my return.

I’m struggling, I can’t even find the LCGS population report…is it still a thing? Can you still check authenticity of the old slabs or view other UINs?

That's long gone, I may have the pictures at home, I will check when I can.

What type of coin is it? I can't search for UIN but the AI will find Half crowns for example.

Looks it eBay might have done something as the page is now "missing" rather than listing ended by seller.

I sent them a message reporting it, hopefully others did to ,and ebay emailed me last night saying it had been pulled and action was been taking against the seller.

I see the 1849 penny from the auction has pitched up on ebay for double the price it hammered at...😕

I would assume it is someone like Atlas? There are so many coins appearing on ebay, sold at auction, that are listed for significantly more than they were bought for and  sometimes with dubious descriptions, missing key information from the original auction listing like edge bumps or inflated grades. I know dealers have to make a living but some of them are taking the proverbial..... Will the bubble burst?

  5. I have dabbled azda but don't know enough to make any serious investment/gamble. That said, with the current price jumps I'm up about 300% today but have been down by 50% in the past.

I've got the NC on a CD, but Sod's law saw my computer with a CD drive die soon after I got it. :(

Now I need to find someone with a CD drive to get it onto a memo stick or something I can use to download and print things off before the drives no longer exist.

As paddy said just get a USB DVD drive, no more than £22 ish. My main PC doesn't have a DVD drive so I use a USB external drive.

I’m really not convinced that Facebook offers the useful archive of information going back years that the forum does, and its excellent search facility. However I don’t use Facebook for coins…..any particularly recommended groups?
