    1936 missing from Peck?

    After quite a few months of searching,  I have managed to get hold of a copy of Peck for a very reasonable price.  First impressions are very good; A lot of information and the plates are superb.

    One thing I noted while flicking through was 1936 being missed for penny, halfpenny and farthing.  Has anyone else noticed this? It's not an issue,  I have a copy of Freeman to reference bronze. 

     

    Is this a good buy?

    I bought a 5kg of mixed copper/bronze for around £30 a while back,  it kept me busy for a month or two. Managed to take what I wanted and sell the rest on for a small profit. 

    £75 for 15kg seems reasonable to me, more so if you can check them out in person beforehand.

    Sounds like a sensible plan, it's the only bugger I'm missing, all the others I've picked from circulation and reluctant to pay silly money for it.

    I think this is the key point here, if you put down the maximum you're prepared to pay, you won't be disappointed.  

    Are you being outbid by a lot?

    It's worked many times for me.

          

    I always hold off until the last 30 seconds, then bid the maximum I'm willing to pay. You win some, you lose some, there's plenty of pennies around. Be patient and you'll get one at the right price.

    Can be an interesting denomination to collect. Quite a few minor varieties for the threepences. If you haven't already,  a copy of Davies may come in handy.
