    Yeah the embedded images are being hosted by the original server where it's uploaded, so if you removed the photo (permanently) then it wouldn't show anymore, either in a link or in an embedded image. The only files it would save are the ones that you choose to upload, the under 500kb ones. Even then it will probably kill off photos after a few years or so to keep free space.

    Yeah it's a bug in the software from the forum providers, they know and assume will release the fix when they have it.

    You know that hosting a website and all its images costs money right? Predecimal is 100% free and all paid for by Chris, many of the other sites have subscribers or donations to help run the site, whereas this place doesn't. The 500kb limit is actually plenty as well, I've never had a problem myself and everyone else seems to manage ok. The method of selecting images, to me at least, is pretty straightforward? Bar the bug you came across, it literally takes 3 clicks add an image.

    If it helps I can show you a couple of ways to reduce the size of an image, you'll find that you can get everything you need within the 500kb limit, especially in the case of photographing coins.

    We can still question eBay's diligence in other matters though, like the abundance of fake material, self-bidding, etc.

    Other way round, the error has been assigned (incorrectly as he probably knows) by the seller to add a couple of £££s to the listing.

    Yeah must've done. The only thing he did change was the price and the description :D

    ebay will never keep an eye on this type of thing though, they're notoriously s*** at doing anything about listings that go against their own policy. Fat cats don't stay fat without all that money.

    It is difficult and entirely depends where you want to go with your collection, I think the main reason the powerhouses get to the stage of micro varieties is because the initial list was filled, then the subsequent additions get filled, then when running out of things to collect, start to really scrutinize every coin, looking for differences.

    At the moment I collect (pennies) all the years, mint marks, the main recognised varieties like 1903 open 3, 1911 Gouby X, recessed ear varieties etc, and then have a side collection for anything of interest. There are some I have like the missing wave varieties that I don't want to include in my collection because they're caused by the natural process of minting coins and not by purposeful design changes.

    If you haven't already, I'd definitely recommend getting literature on your area of collecting because there are some excellent books out there to help you along the way.

    Lol. But regardless of whether I care, we still don't know and can't check to answer the question. I remember checking through some of the highest graded coins one and there were loads all graded at whatever the highest one I could find was. I can't remember what the grade was, but there was no single coin with the highest grade as far as I could see.
