I bought an F33 with I over I in BRITT at Noonan's last week.
It's my second example, but with a different overstrike:
And the previous one:

the only oddity I have noticed is a congratulatory notification that I have completed one whole year! 🙂
Sadly, I didn't get one and I've been reduced to a "Newbie" when I click on my Id.

I tried to post this just after we'd retained the Ryder Cup but it wouldn't let me.
It seems less amusing now...........

I got one last week. They were reportedly rare a couple of weeks ago but now the RM site says that several million have been released.

Yesterday, Noonan's sold an F13 penny with repaired E's. It was also the "short sea" variety described on Page 14 of John Jerrams' booklet on Bun Pennies. The mutliple repairs to letters and the linear circle are distinctive of this variety.

I have just tried to post a comment about a penny sold in yesterday's Noonan's auction and received the "forbidden" reply.
This Forum is becoming unusable and will soon wither away.

Just tried to post a funny jpeg image - forbidden !
Why can't someone fix this ??????????
-
This is getting ridiculous - none of these images were missing until recently and I've done nothing to cause their disappearance.
I guess the site will become more and more unusable.
-
The major issue is that all images appear on my version of the website and so it is impossible to spot what's missing without detailed input from yourselves.

Thanks Martin - that's useful. I'll investigate.

Yes. I just checked the Victoria Copper Obverses page and many of the pictures showing varieties of date numbers are missing, starting with the ones after "Two kinds of 5 are found on the 1854 pennies".
Could others please check.
If this is a new and common issue, then I'm confused as the picture were there previously - I have no idea why they should have disappeared.

I'm getting told that there are numerous pictures missing from the Victoria Copper Obverse and Reverse pages.
Are other people seeing the same ?

I'm getting told that there are numerous pictures missing from the Victoria Copper Obverse and Reverse pages.
I really can't understand what's going wrong - maybe just the problems of using free website software ?
The end may be nigh !

It happens from time to time - no particular date.

Update - although I didn't see the duplicated list at my end, I checked the actual page in edit mode and it was duplicated which hopefully I've fixed.

Interesting - when I click on Paddy's links, I do see the duplicated varieties list but I also do see the A B C D images !

In a separate unrelated email, copied to myself, Michael Gouby writes:
"In 1806 to 1861 100’s of dies had the legend letters and numerals re-punched so as to keep the die going. An entire book could be filled if one were to record every minor off-set letter or numeral re-punch of that period. It neither add nor detracts value from the coin and are not recorded for that reason".
I don't collect such occurrences myself but, if it gets more people interested in the subject, am happy that people share their examples.

I've just had the same message when just replying to a post without even attempting to post an image.
But when I logged out and then back in, I was able to post it !!!
