I know it is easy to do, but I see a lot more of these than just the occasional accident would explain. I have seen one seller who always seems to list his stuff twice - usually at very different start prices. I suspect he cancels one auction towards the end when he works out which one is going better.

I picked this up amongst a lot of other stuff on Saturday. My head is already spinning with trying to ID everything - can someone tell me exactly which one this is? I know it is pretty worn and it will be moving on, but I like to be able to tell the new owner exactly what they have.

I am sure someone more knowledgeable will chip in with chapter and verse, but the early Royal Mint proof sets in hard plastic were not frosted. I'm not sure if it was a fixed change over but a quick check back through my sets shows 1979 as un-frosted but 1980 as frosted (though I am not sure all the coins are to the same extent!) Your 1970 is correct at non-frosted and I don't believe there is a frosted version.
There are frosted proofs of some earlier pre-decimal coins, but these are generally very pricey.

What I don't get is why, if they are supposed to be a professional coin dealership, they put up such a lousy photograph - particularly on a coin they want so much money for! They didn't even bother to crop it so they could put up a higher resolution.
I have only been photographing (as opposed to scanning) coins for a few months and I can turn out better images than that.
... and if MEs in average condition are really worth that much, I had better go through my box of discarded 1926s. If the grade is low I tip them in there and don't even bother checking for ME...

By the way he implies "token" I guess it is fairly small, so that or a commemorative medalet from the Great Exhibition sounds likely. I don't know for fact.
I think he needs to divide his price by at least 100 to get near to something sensible, unless he can come up with some really interesting historical facts.

OK - I have just explored this and it seems to work like this:
1. In your file manager right click on the folder you want to stop sharing. In the drop down select "More Onedrive sharing Options"
2. It opens Onedrive in your web browser (takes a little time) and presents all your sub folders and a pop-up box which has options such as "Allow Edit" and "Set Expiry date". At the bottom is the word "more" - click that.
3. Pop up expands to show options for Facebook etc and "manage permissions" at the bottom - click that.
4. Now you get a side panel come up. I think there are two ways of doing it: There is an option with "Allow anyone with this link to access" and an X beside it - if you hit the X I think this stops that approach. Or below that there is "Can view" - if you hit that there is an option to "Stop Sharing", which will achieve the same I think, but may mean all sharing of your folders is blocked. (I don't want to do either at the moment as I am happy to carry on sharing!).

I never slab anything so I am unfamiliar with the issues.
The 1877 I can agree their point. The 1911 maybe, but a bit harsh. The 1898 does not look particularly cleaned to me - at least not in an unpleasant way.
Confirms my decision against slabbing I'm afraid!

The only MG I ever drove was an MGTC - belonged to a fellow officer when I was in the army. He drove to the pub and after 3 pints insisted I drove home. Most terrifying and exhilarating driving experience of my life!

Not quite sure what you are expecting to hear! All three coins seem pretty good and whether they were good value will depend on how much you paid!
The 1911 suffers from the familiar problem with threepences of more wear on the bust than anywhere else. Might benefit from a little soap and water.
The 1898 is better but does have digs in the fields on either side.
The 1877, as well as more wear on the bust, has been rubbed with something abrasive to give a mass of fine hairline scratches.
I would be happy with any of them, depending on the price, unless maybe I was expecting them to be Maundy? I am not good at distinguishing Maundy from not but to me only the 1898 looks possible.

It is still there for me and I have accessed Onedrive through it recently. It sounds like an account issue with Hotmail - are you paying for the service or just using the freebie? If paid, it may be that your latest payment didn't go through and you have reverted to minimal service? Just thoughts - if all else fails use the Help/chat for Hotmail and see what they have to say.

I don't know enough to judge on the coin. He has sold 4 other siege coins, all different, over the last few weeks and has received positive feedback on them.
Not that that guarantees anything!

OK - it many ways it is easier. Open file manager and click on the Onedrive Library, navigate to sub folders if necessary. Right click on the folder you want to share and click on "Share a Onedrive Link" from the drop down. Onedrive will create the link and Copy it to your clipboard. (Depending on your system, you may get a notification pop up to tell you it has done this.)
Then create your post or email and Paste in when ready - the link should appear.
If you are on Apple Mac or some tablet device I am not the one to help you!

Fairly straightforward. If you are accessing Onedrive online:
1. In Onedrive click the little circle at the top right of the folder you want to share.
2. On the top bar you will now see a "Share" button - click this.
3. Pop up gives you the option to allow people to edit your files (No!) and also set a time limit (up to you).
4. Select "Link" - it will now create a link address similar to the ones I have posted and the option to copy this - do that.
5. Create your post or email and at the appropriate point, paste your link. Bingo!
If you have Onedrive resident on your computer so that it appears as another directory on your computer it is slightly different - let me know if that is the case.

the "https://" - the S tells you it is a secure site, properly registered and certificated.
the "1drv.ms" is the website name Onedrive uses for its service - that I admit is confusing, but that is what they have. The "ms" is microsoft's own extension.
the "/f/" i think tells you it is a folder coming up rather than a single file/image
the rest is the unique identifier generated for my folder.
The things to watch out for include unexpected extensions like "ru" for Russia, or "xxx" for porn. Also ".asp" means it will perform a function when it gets there rather than just open a file or webpage. In the end though, if you have antivrus installed the worst you will get is a message from your anti-virus saying "blocked for:{reason}".
