hi there hello - did you know the best way to clean coins is with acetone and you could add to that a toothpick - i have always had great results using these two things both seperately and together .
Acetone is a strong solvent you can pick up a bottle on ebay for around £5 .
It does not harm to toneing or lustre, gets rid of gunk and dirt and allover is the perfect product to use on SOME problem coins.
I am sure many users of this forum have had good results from it.....

You should have no problem selling the esp if you are based near the m25

If you are near a major town (London , Birmingham or manchester for instance )you might be better off listing them as a pick up only lot on Ebay.
Pick a free listing day and put a reasonable reserve on them and hope a newbie collector is interested.
You could always leave them at a friend or relatives house if you don't live near a major city.
Just keep relisting them till you get the price you want.
Other more valueable books , IE peck or freeman's books sell like hot cakes anyway .
But the run of the mill stuff i.e. Spink is a bit hard to shift once out of date .

Not sure if these are poisonous to cats like true lilys but to be on the safe side felix will not be sniffing any more of them.
ameryllis belladonna lily does not inspire confidence in the poisionous capacity of the flower either

By the way ebay can often get you good money for even poor quality rubbish.
Try selling in lots if your coins are not good enough on their own.
Keep the postage down and describe the coins honestly.

Thats great never never be afraid of selling and specializeing in what you are really drawn to.
That way you dont just hoard and get a better idea where you want to go in the future

I always look at the scraped silver in a local scrap dealers stall he is at all the local collectors fairs /flea markets.
The saddest thing is the silver medals from the first world war probably sold for £17.50 or so , it really was not worth selling them 10 years ago - they would have fetched a £5 note.
To just hold one and think about what the holder had to do for the medal breaks your heart.
£17.50? The darn things should be priceless!

The lions and the lis look different on the forgery less clear and convincing.
Overall apart from marys chin quite a convincing coin though.
At least we know to look out for them now
