The only examples I can find online have no gem insert and I'd like to know how rare or valuable the coin is. So does anyone here know where I can find such information.
...
I also have a £2 South Georgia & south sandwich islands 2000 1 oz silver coin which has the crown crest and celebrates the queen mothers 100th Birthday. It also has a small gem insert.
I paid how much for that horse and its still not won anything!!!

But, how are you going to be sure it's not one from one of the year sets already released being scanned and posted...
copying off the internet is bad form you can tell from a left click can't you
the year set coins have a mint mark as well
Hey it's only a bit of fun there is no prize at the end of it - I would expect them to be found in one of our big cities like Birmingham or -Manchester - Glasgow or Coventry, they usually get released in these places

The first £1 coins featuring King Charles III are entering circulation this week.
Almost three million coins have been issued to post offices and banks across the country.
The coins mark the King's new reign and celebrate his love of the natural world, with the reverse side featuring a pair of bees.
Even as the King becomes a familiar sight on coins, those featuring Queen Elizabeth II will remain in circulation. New sets of coins are struck in response to demand.
"It is an honour to reveal that King Charles III’s £1 coin is now in circulation," said Rebecca Morgan, director at the Royal Mint.
"We know there’ll be a buzz of excitement amongst collectors and the public to get this special piece of history in their change."
FIRST TO SCAN ONE AND PUT THE PICTURE ON HERE WINS!

Books can be expensive so unless you intend taking coin collecting up as a hobby there are plenty free sites on the net where good info is available , start there .

If a genuine coin and i cannot see that it's vastly better grade at least near fine

Worth more like $82 while its had little wear the coin appears badly struck and would be difficult to sell in this condition - is this one of the better grading houses in the us or are they "Cowboys"?

First time I have noticed the "Ebay automated Feedback". How long has this been going on? Positive but "This seller successfully completed an order" certainly counts as "Damning by faint praise!
That buyer would not be a full shilling methinks

I once found a G over G farthing in GVF grade for £3 beat that (He says expecting this thread to turn into a four yorkshiremen sketch very soon)
-
Both coins are in lowish sort of grades so it would be foolish to say if they were a filled die or not , you would have to find several much higher grade coins to say with any certainty , shows I spotted it as well though doesn't it?

Just discovered another new variety of Lauer's model coins this time its a Half crown 1897 quite a scarce coin anyway I have both varieties one reads HALF CROWN and the other HALF ROWN in other words the "C" is missing .
Anyone any idea if its listed?

Such interesting coins and from their dates quite late in moore's career I must admit I prefer Moores output to Lauers
