  1. Does the trend continue? Anyone outraged at being well and truly Spinked today? Are your Numismatic 'Circular's' still twitching? I only followed a small part and I missed out on a couple of pieces which sold at about the right price. I was thinking of picking them up as duplicates so bid accordingly, a self fulfilling prophesy, won nothing, so it could have been a complete waste of time, hadn't I enjoyed it so much.
  2. Was wondering why are there so many female archaeologists? Could it be because of their obsession with digging up the past?
  3. Hey Azda, Good to see you’re still kicking 👍🏽 (Numischtacker?)

    Mr. Grumpy.

At least the commemorative stamp is a stamp and is current and fit for purpose, i.e, sticking on a letter. Now if ever they had the idea to make them out of Vicuna wool or Mulberry silk then we could see a similar trend in Phil Latterly.
  6. Not really my area of interest but I can appreciate pennies a lot more now, especially after following some topics on here. There are some cracking pennies coming up at Spink Feb 24th auction, a very nice Freeman 59 and 184. Will we see more outrageous prices I wonder?

I like to think that there would have been a contemporary significance with the ‘holey’ Ed.VI pieces. As a memento of a young King taken early, or as a talisman worn in the hope of preventing a return to Catholicism perhaps?

    Steep slabbing premiums

I was only hazarding a guess there Michael, but, for whatever reason, he just sort of... sprang to mind, as it were.

Ouch! thats really bad. Cromwell’s had a nose job and has taken to smoking forbidden herbs by the look of that eye. And he claims it is authentic. His whole stock is probably not worth 10% of what he’s asking. Quite sad really. Over 23000 sales too, smh.
  16. its the way I tell ‘em 😁
