  2. One of my unofficial farthings has two small spots of verd and I've considered using verdicare on it but i cant find a UK supplier. Is it only available in the states?

    Slate gaming counter???

I am at a loss as to what this is and my only guess is a slate (?) counter of some kind. It was bought with a small group of tokens that had an unofficial farthing I wanted, it appears to have some age to it. Diameter of 19mm and a weight of 1.7gm. On the third pic I've lightened the image to show detail. Any help or suggestions are most welcome!
  7. I've just read the thread and it reminded me of a similar coin weight I have. same design but smaller at 14mm/1.1gm as far as I can tell the legend reads: I.K.MLP 11

    Ebay malicious redirects

I've not had a redirect but I have had an issue where the page starts playing random music as I scroll through the listings (always the same track) I just installed Adguard and its solved it and removed all the ads on the page too

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

If the coin is genuine I can't understand why he doesn't post better pictures....surely this would aid the sale. For the few bits I sell on the bay I always try to get the best possible picture As for price he's clearly having a laugh!

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

I also bought this today, I really like the castle design

    My Latest Acquisition

My latest group of unofficial farthings bought over the last month
  18. I do have a fourth which has the 'just drop't in' on one side within a wreath border. The other side has the image of Paul Pry with the legend 'hope I don't intrude' above. I'm assuming this is the standard version as I've seen quite a few of these
  19. This last one I've included as I believe it's by the same maker due to the reverse crown. It has 'TWI' on for Thomas Wells Ingram, the only one of the three to have any markings on. All three are 22mm gilt brass and weigh 4.0 to 4.1gm
  20. I have some counters with a very similar portrait on will look them out and post pictures

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Everything else he has listed is modern and I'm guessing he didn't know 1) what it is and 2) what its worth (not that I do either). I never expected to win it though and I can see many hours being spent on trying to find out what it is! Another item to add to my collection of 'unusual'
