Shilling Groups by obverse |

|
Separating the
shillings by obverse alone proves to be a difficult task. Obverses using
punched busts are fairly easy for high quality coins. However Groups as B and
J are almost identical (probably by same engraver). Group E, H
and perhaps K seems to be entirely isolated operations whereas the other
groups all are more or less connected by die links. At this point the general
picture is rather unclear demanding a more throughout study. |
