Retail Price: £1,284.00 Predecimal Price: £995.00 The Saving: £270.09 (23%) A truly stunning top grade Northumberland shilling. Virtually full toning lustre with just a slight loss of lustre on the King's headress. Wonderful natural grey colour with darker areas in the lettering and other lower parts.
This was a difficult coin to photograph, the lustre doesn't show at all in the image, and due to the toning, the minimal wear is easily mistaken as areas that were never sharply struck in the first place! The minimal wear is very clear when you are able to hold the coin in the right light to see the almost unbroken sheen of mint lustre.
The postage price will include properly insured postage (I have cover not just from the Post Office, but also a private policy with a London Broker for items in transit up to a value of £8,000). And, if you're not entirely satisfied with my description and grading then you can return it for a refund, it's the kind of coin I don't mind having back again!
Now it's reduced from £1200 to £995!
