I'm loving these, wishing I had started collecting them when they were more affordable relative to disposable income (assuming that was the case in the last 40 years!)

Nice bust on that Bad boy with a little bit of red in the top quarter REV shield. Wax or tray?

Fabulous bust, so glad this thread has given us this visual treat! However much effort it had taken to produce these pics Rob, it is worth it! :)

Wax. It's illustrated in the Murdoch catalogue, lot 237.

A great idea for a thread, Paulus ( ;) )! The images don't do these toned pieces justice, I'm confident.

Definitely!

I'm loving these, wishing I had started collecting them when they were more affordable relative to disposable income (assuming that was the case in the last 40 years!)

Certainly with the Charles Tower coins it's less price (which suggests to me that they aren't that much more expensive, relatively) but availability. I look through something like the Dolphin Coins catalogue from the early-mid 1990s and there are so many coins I would happily snap up if I now had the chance. Now? I'm finding it really difficult to find nicer pieces, whatever the price.
