looking for book

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for this book here and was wanting to mooch off of the forums experience and expertise as how best to get a book like this and whether I have any chance getting it for a half decent price :)

Also while I am asking for help if anyone has any other Arabic coin books they would recommend or resources they found useful I would greatly appreciate it :)

many thanks in advance

For recent publications I think it's trickier getting them cheap. But eBay and auctions are a possibility.

Not my area but but Paul and Benthe at Galata have a selection of other books (not the one you posted I'm afraid) on Islamic coins: http://www.galata.co.uk/store.asp?storeAction=showProds&jumpStart=0&stockMasterCategoriesID=25&searchStr=

And Tim Wilkes specialises in Islamic coins .. maybe one of their auctions? http://wilkesandcurtis.com/

Are you interested in Arabic coins in general or is there a more specific aspect you intend to focus upon?

I can send you a bibliography more focused towards examining them in Viking contexts if you so wish.

Contact Chris the owner of this site. He has or is about to launch a book on Arabic coins.

I concur with David, his link goes to the best English language site for Islamic coins.
