Help With Spink 2014 Prices

Recommended Posts

Would someone mind posting the latest Spink prices for the following?

S. 3788 1817 HC in VF and EF

S. 3807 1821 HC (regular issue) in VF and EF

S. 3808 1823 HC in VF and EF

Thanks for any assistance!

I don't have a Spink 2014, but my Collectors' Coins GB 2014 says:

1817 Bull head £20 VF £65 EF

1821 £30 VF £70 EF

1823 (2nd rev) £30 VF £80 EF

Be interesting to see how Spink compares.

(SEE POST BELOW - I managed to quote F and VF above!)

A bit more realistically than the prices above. If you have any of the above coins available in the grades and prices above I will take the lot.

Spink gives

1817 bull head £90 VF, £450 EF

1821 £95 VF, £400 EF

1823 (2nd rev) £100, £475

VF £90 EF £450

VF £95 EF £400

VF 100 EF £475

BUY CAREFULLY

and USA grades are ........ fill in your own.

A Spink EF from the 60's would be MS66

Yes - CCGB 2014 gives :

VF £65 EF £300

VF £70 EF £250

VF £80 EF £300

which I think are more realistic than Spink tbh.

Are you still unwell?

I closed my company down 3 years ago.

I bought property a few years back plus we are millionaires...well about.

Mrs Peter has gone topless with my elder daughter in my MG.

Eldest daughter is wanting a Cooper. At least she has my taste :)

I'm still recovering from ankle surgery and the cost of that plus reduced income is partly why I am selling some coins

Other way round I think. An EF 1823 second reverse for £300 for example would be nice if you could find one at that price. Don't know about the prices for low grade pieces as I haven't been looking.

Ebay 99p Start can go incredibly high or scary low

1817 £60 to £80

1821 £80 to £100

1823 £50 to £70

1823 £50 to £70

My guess is around 1.5x to 2x this estimate. So about;

1817 £100 to £160

1821 £120 to £250

1823 £90 to £160

But what do I know :P

They are now unleashed on the 99p start eBay auction market, for what it's worth my guesses are:

1817 £140

1821 £190

1823 £130

The fact that they are CGS slabbed should at least prevent any disasters
