Are the 1927 sets in cardboard cases supposed to be in any way inferior? (I'm assuming not). Is there much of a premium for a set in a leather case, if so, how much?

Hmmm......I'd take one in either type of case.

I'm still kicking myself for not going after that set in the 18th Sept DWN auction. I'd spent 2k on a crown the day before which ended up going back and I had expected the set to go through the roof. Was I suprised when it went for £4200 hammer :angry:

Yes, I bought it as a 0.925 silver but it turned out to be 0.500 which according to Rayner is the rarer of the two so should have gone for more, which it did.

Yes, it was a part of the 1853 VIP set sold earlier this year. I missed it too :(
