New arrival. All sorts going on with this, Halfpenney and Payble errors, A over V or inverted A in Halfpenney. :) Plain edge.

I'll see if I can take clearer pics

Edit - better pics (hopefully)

And I got this one of one of my favourite towns. Lots of lustre and proof-like fields, hard to photograph ...

Purchased this token about a month ago. Just got around to photographing it. It has a good amount of red remaining, and the detail work is just stunning. I really don't like red copper coins, but this one has mellowed enough for me to like it.

What an exceptionally beautiful copper token! I wouldn't have any compaints having it in my collection!

I agree. The detail is amazingly good.

The detail may be great but not the actual history - cliffords tower was actually made of wood circa 1100 not stone as on the token there are reports that it burned down circa 1190 and was rebuilt in stone , therefore the picture on the token is a pure fabrication of the real thing

Bored. Not strictly copper, but I'm not going to make a 'Let's see your bronze' thread. ex Clarke-Thornhill 835.

Edward VI base penny of York. And before anyone complains, it's about 75% copper ;)

This landed on the doorstep today. P989. Unsurprisingly it becomes the representative example of a flawed die.

I recently made some Victorian bronze acquisitions to my collection:

Victorian pennies of 1867, 1882-H, and 1885.

They are quality but probably better in one of the penny threads not copper.

Hat off and nice coins :)

Bath farthing token - weird sizing of the date numbers but normal for the issue perhaps!
