You do not need to use the CODE tags;

example, firstly i use (spaces used to not confuse it): [ FONT = Times ][ SIZE = 14 ]

then i: [ FONT = Times ][ SIZE = 14 ]Hello this is a test

then i: [ FONT = Times ][ SIZE = 14 ]Hello this is a test [ / FONT ][ / SIZE ]

it finishes: Hello this is a test
