Well, and there was me thinking she was a struggling lady, that Chris very kindly allowed to remain amongst us all long enough that I could discuss wedding venues! :)

And now I'm never gonna hear from her ever again because of you lot! :(

If she wants a boy Hello17 might be suitable- I suspect she might have him for breakfast though.

A bit like Jordan did with Garath Gates...... :o

No thanks. i always hope my death would involve cats or guns.

Tripping over a cat ? Sounds a really boreing death to me.

And by the way death was not mentioned - just something that far more pleasureable :)

It isn't a lily, it's an amaryllis. However, if the cat's name is Lily, then the flower isn't a felix either and still an amaryllis. :)

You need to keep cats and lilies apart - the flower's pollen is poisonous to cats.

Amaryllis

"Naked Lady" flowers in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park, California

Scientific classification

Kingdom: Plantae

Clade: Angiosperms

Clade: Monocots

Order: Asparagales

Family: Amaryllidaceae

Subfamily: Amaryllidoideae

Genus: Amaryllis

L.

Species

Amaryllis belladonna L.

Amaryllis paradisicola Snijman

Amaryllis (pronounced /ˌæməˈrɪlɨs/[1]) is a small genus of flowering bulbs, with two species. The better known of the two, Amaryllis belladonna, is a native of South Africa, particularly the rocky southwest region near the Cape. For many years there was confusion amongst botanists over the generic names Amaryllis and Hippeastrum, one result of which is that the common name "amaryllis" is mainly used for cultivars of the genus Hippeastrum, widely sold in the winter months for their ability to bloom indoors. Plants of the genus Amaryllis are known as belladonna lily, Jersey lily, naked lady, amarillo or, in South Africa, March lily. This is one of numerous genera with the common name "lily" due to their flower shape and growth habit. However, they are only distantly related to the true lily,

from wiki

Not sure if these are poisonous to cats like true lilys but to be on the safe side felix will not be sniffing any more of them.

ameryllis belladonna lily does not inspire confidence in the poisionous capacity of the flower either :)

Perhaps the spambotter's attention was attracted by such potentially provocative words as "naked" and "pussy" in the above posts.

Ah, Marina, you vixen! ... would that it were so.

"pussy" happens to be a banned word on many forums - even when refering to your own cat - was surprised it was allowed :D

In the vernacular of the English I learnt whence I was young a box was a euphemism for another term referred to higher up in this thread
