The recognise the coin game

The recognise the coin game...

Ok, i have just came up with this game for us in our spare time, not only can this keep us occupied but it can teach us too :)

...The Rules:

  • Sombody posts a discription of a coin; Description, inscription, alloy ect... but do not make it too simple.
  • Sombody else replies with what they think the coin is and what the monarch is...

Easy really :)

Ok then, i suppose i should start;

Inscription; Obv: Victoria Dei Grattia, Rev: FID DEF IND IMP 1893

Alloy; Silver

Description; The coin shows Victoria's older head, it is slightly bigger and thicker then a penny...

(An easy one to start off :) )

Half crown.

(...and it's Dei Gratia, not Grattia).
