1989 one penny has about a 90 Degree die rotation... could this be a rare coin.....

90 deg is quite a jump although small rotations don't appear uncommon. You need a full 180deg before it causes any excitement.

If you've got a spare tenner, send it off to CGS and get it slabbed as genuine.

My thoughts as well.

It needs to grab the publics attention.

I don't even check modern coins (apart from 20p's olympic 50p's & 1988 £1's)oh dear...In falling into the abyss. :o

If you've got a spare tenner, send it off to CGS and get it slabbed as genuine.

Could wing it off to the Royal Mint - they'll authenticate it... and all for the price of a stamp!
