I sold a copy on Ebay earlier in the year, I could'nt beleive it when I read the address I had to post it to, Spink in London.

My wife bought my Peck from Spink after every weekend I went searching for a copy...she can't cook but always expect the unexpected...sometimes it is best to bite the bullet...How many Pecks will you buy?

£92.00. I don’t buy and sell them. It was my own copy which I had virtually never used. I'm mainly into collecting milled silver and for the copper and bronze that I do purchase, Freeman's book is quite adequate for me.

The £92 went towards a vintage 1950's Hardy Altex fishing reel.

No more, see my response to '£400 for a penny'. Well not unless the copper and bronze bug really gets to me.

You will be lucky to pick up a decent copy for less than £100.

It is a good reference but I don't use it all of the time.

I met him once.

I just hope Spink don't reprint it, I hate it when they do that.

The one that this thread refers to sold for 68 quid and looked in good condition

Wilson has attended a couple of village fishing nights and he likes the red...a great bloke and a mans man.

I knew mine was going to get some wear so I deliberately went for a tatty one (£40) complete with scrawl from a previous collector, so I knew I could scribble on it at will. Then sold my better copy :D

Great reel maker, the rods are pretty mediocre though!

Yes but it had no dust jacket. Pushes the value WAY down. No, I don't understand why either...

The £65 one is the 1960 edition. And pretty ropey as well. 2nd ed. 1964 is the one everyone wants, and they rarely go cheap.

Interesting that for once the second edition is worth more than a first!!

There were others that were second Edition that were less than £100, someone must have grabbed them already!! :D
