Arabic Coin

Recommended Posts

I found a coin in the parking lot the other day. I am curious where it is from and I found this site. It has three palm trees on one side surrounded by cultivated fields, and on the other side there is an arch of arabic (I think) writing, with a circle in the middle and a piece of grain and feather on the bottom. I dont have a camera, so I cant post a pic, but I would appreciate any help you guys could give me.

That would be from Iraq. To determine the denomination, look at the central circle on the reverse.

Their 1 looks similar to our "1"

Their 5 looks like an "O"

Their 0 looks like a "."

Their 2 looks like a backwards "7"

Thanks for the info, looks like a 50 dinar piece, made in 1990, which is worth like 3 cents American.
