This has been bought up before; why isnt there a forum page where members can put details about themselves for others to see (name, age, occupation etc...)...i think that this may be a good turn for the site so as people have their own little biography for others to see...at the moment, you only know me as Master Jmd, you in theory do not have a clue who i am...i think that this would help the site so other members know who they are 'talking' to, and get a general view of our personalities...so, could we get a page like this?

That's what the profile thing is for, when you click on the users name.

If you used a smaller font in your signature, you could write a whole essay!

I have never tried doing that. I amagine that if you wrote an essay, no one would be able to read it.

It would have to be size about 1 for an essay!

You would need a huge monitor just to read it!

Master JMD, your profile doesn't make sense:

I, 'Master Jmd Collection'

Have you suddenly transformed into coins or am I missing something?

How do you edit your signature eg. oodles of poodles in Oli's case?

Go to "My Controls", then "Edit profile info" and it's the first field at the top. You must have changed it before because it doesn't default to "Forum God"

It does if untouched and you get to 500 posts!

Yes, to something a little above your station, one might say.

Exactly. We should all take expert names such as 20th century farthing expert, 20th century half penny expert etc......

But that would by lying, and it would leave our non regular guests with a false sense of security!

As if the young man known as 'Master Jmd collection' didn't already do that in his lengthy profile!

No, you miss the point. I am not a farthing expert, you are not a halfpenny expert - to gain the handle "expert" one needs to study their field for decades. "Above your station" means that it is a little upstarted of you.

I know, I was only joking. I know that to become an expert in one's field one must study their field for decades. :D

Could Colin Cooke be classed as a 1952 half crown expert? I mean he's studied them/it all... :D
